Staff
Rev. Steven J. Duescher, Pastor
Steven is originally from Wisconsin, a graduate of Concordia College, Milwaukee,
BA 1981 and Concordia Seminary, Saint Louis, M. Div. 1985. He married Connie in 1989.
In the following years they became parents to Emily, Caleb and Nathan, who are now teenagers. He has been pastor of Bethany Since April of 2000.

Elaine Stein – Minister of Music
Elaine has been the director of the Worship team since the early 90’s. She is a long time beach area resident and the mother of 3 grown daughters; Claire of San Francisco, Hannah of Santa Cruz and Ingrid of San Diego.
She is here on Thursdays from 5:30 – 6:30 pm for Worship Team practice. For more information on our Worship Team, please contact Elaine (858) 692-4376
Leigh Ann Bearce – Secretary
Leigh Ann has been our secretary since 2005. She and her husband have lived in Ocean Beach for more than 20 years. They have 2 children; Lucas, in the Navy, stationed here in San Diego with his wife and sons, and Sarah, in Oregon with her husband and children.
Her current hours at the church are:
Tuesday mornings; 8:00 am – 11:00 am
Wednesday afternoons; noon – 4:00 pm
Friday afternoons; 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
